Reddit Went Down on iPhone and Web
Reddit briefly went down for many users around the world today, with the widespread outage having affected both the website and the iPhone app.
The issues began shortly before 1 p.m. Eastern Time today, according to complains filed on the website Downdetector.com. In an update posted to its status page at 12:52 pm Eastern Time, Reddit says it is investigating "an issue with a Reddit backend" that has "impacted many users on our site," but it did not provide a timeframe for a fix.
Update: At 1:42 p.m. Eastern Time, Reddit said it had deployed a fix and that its website was functional again.
